Megan Franklin (Nee Burgoyne)
MPhil Community Development, PG Diploma in M&EMégan applies the same passion and commitment to her clients as she does to her love of chocolate and wine… Having taken time out from her busy chocolate-eating and wine-drinking schedule, she obtained a Master’s degree in Community and Development at Stellenbosch University in 2008. She was introduced to monitoring and evaluation during her Master’s and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in M&E in 2011, also from Stellenbosch University. Megan loves engaging with people on their passions and getting ever-more passionate about what she does best (even better than eating chocolate and drinking wine!) and that is assisting organisations (and their programmes) achieve their full potential and thus benefitting their constituents.
Liezel De Waal
MA Sociology, PG Diploma in M&ELiezel spends much of her time staring into space and pondering the philosophical meaning of meaningless stuff – this, inexplicably, provides her great pleasure and a handy excuse for why she’s not at the gym (someone’s got to do this, right?). In between this, Liezel obtained her Master’s degree in Sociology, in 2006 from Stellenbosch University. She discovered the wonders of monitoring and evaluation shortly thereafter and later completed Postgraduate Diploma in M&E (Stellenbosch University). Since then, she’s been applying her reflective ‘powers’ to help other organisations and their staff to build on, and improve, their impact on communities. She thrives on interactions with like-minded ‘passionates’ and enjoys engaging in creative conversations that deliver improvement in some shape or form.
